Chaille Stovall’s film career began when he was 8. This would be no big deal if we were talking about a cutesy child star with killer dimples and a backstage mom. A kid like that will be history by the time his permanent teeth come in.
But Chaille — it’s pronounced “Shally” — is not an actor. He’s a filmmaker. He started out at the top of the food chain and five years later he’s still there. He makes documentaries, four of them in the can so far, and he doesn’t need to pinion friends and relatives to the rec room furniture to get an audience.
