    John Lund was an American stage and film actor who gained national recognition after his first role in a feature film. He was born on February 6, 1911, in Rochester, New York, USA. Lund, a handsome Nordic-looking actor, became popular in the American film industry during the 1930s and 1940s.

    Early Life and Career

    Lund's father was a glassblower and a Norwegian immigrant. He grew up in a family of six children. Lund did not finish high school and tried out several professions before entering the advertising business in the early 1930s. While still working in advertising, he was noticed when he performed in an industrial show at the 1939 World's Fair in New York City.
